As public perception has improved, the number of states that allow people to purchase marijuana for medical and recreational purposes has grown.
But just because people are willing to tolerate marijuana use in their neighborhood doesn’t mean they’re willing to start a budding relationship with someone who smokes a joint in their free time.
Boomers are also more likely to support legalizing marijuana overall (81%).
Though when it comes to dating a pot smoker, millennials are most likely to consider it (32.91%), followed by Gen X (30.7%), and Boomers (28.61%).
MYTH 1: YOUNGER GENERATIONS SMOKE MORE If you were under the impression that the younger generation is more inclined to take a toke, you were wrong.
MYTH 3: SINGLE STONERS AREN’T SEXUAL On top of that, people who are open to marijuana use are more likely to have had multiple orgasms (109%), have 3.6% more orgasms per sexual encounter, and are more likely to want to make out at the end of a date (30%) MYTH 4: SMOKERS ARE LAZY When people think of those who have smoked pot, they’re more inclined to believe they are lazy and unmotivated. Those who support legalizing pot are more likely to exercise regularly (18%) and are even most likely to have a professional or graduate degree (65% more likely than those who do not support pot).
And among young adults, they are more likely to be employed (18%).
Pew found that 62% of people had a problem with using it in public.
Though most wouldn’t be offended if people smoked weed in the privacy of their own homes, it’s the in-your-face use that continues to bother people.
